Wrisco Is Open For Business

Business for all has not been the same since the COVID-19 outbreak for Wrisco with some employees working at home, cut back office staff and warehouse employee restrictions.  We are proud to say all four of our Divisions and Corporate Offices are open for business without any instances of COVID-19.

At Wrisco, the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and suppliers always comes first.  In response to the many states only allowing Essential Business or Operations, we are constantly watching the information available at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding Covid-19 outbreak in the country to help keep everyone at all our locations, safe and healthy.

Now Hiring Outside Sales Wrisco Chicago

WRISCO CHICAGO is seeking an outside salesperson for our new Chicago (Tinley Park), IL Division.  The selected candidate will be based preferably out of the metro Chicago area and market/travel the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska North Dakota and South Dakota.

The outside sales representative will be selling primarily WRISCO’S prefinished aluminum coils, sheets and blanks – Painted, Anodized, 70% PVDF and Mill Finish.  In addition, the candidate will be marketing WRISCO’S custom computerized sheet metal fabrication; channel letter coil; painted 24 gauge galvalume steel with a Fluropon® 70% PVDF finish; aluminum storefront panels and Alpolic aluminum composite material (ACM) panels.  The primary industries WRISCO services are the glass/storefront, signage, screen printing, roofing, sheet metal, architectural metal, gas station canopy manufacturing, lighting, race car, trailer body and general contractors to name a few.  There are countless industries/applications for WRISCO’S many quality products.  www.wrisco.com

Outside sales representatives are responsible for servicing/maintaining/nurturing established customers.  In addition, following website leads and cold-call prospecting is required to generate new accounts and increase the sales growth of the designated territory.  The salesperson must be willing to do extensive traveling and overnight trips – minimum of 50% of their time on the road face-to-face with accounts and prospects.  When not on the road/traveling, the salesperson must utilize the phone, laptop and email to keep in contact with customers and prospects.  In addition, time must be dedicated to prospecting/telemarketing, emailing, updating files/reports, entering orders/quotes and maximizing customer communications.  The salesperson will have daily contact with the divisional personnel – inside sales, operations and management to keep apprised of any urgent matters, orders and quotes.

Requirements:

  • The individual must be a self-motivated and enterprising person with excellent organizational, task, computer, territory and time management skills.
  • Experience with sheet metal product distribution sales is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to handle a number of tasks at one time and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Previous experience with managing a territory remotely with extensive travel and customer interaction is highly desired.
  • This salesperson must be ambitious, positive thinking and hard working in order to reach their designated sales goals with previous examples of revenue growth within region/territory.
  • Must take initiative and not require constant guidance – take and use the tools given and perform.
  • Experience with CRM, quote management and order entry operating systems.
  • College degree preferred but not necessary.

The ideal candidate will receive a competitive compensation plan consisting of salary, commission, bonus, car allowance, medical and 401k. Jim Monastra Celebrates 35th Wrisco Anniversary

Jim Monastra, President of Wrisco Industries Inc., celebrates his 35th Work Anniversary this February.   Jim started his career with Wrisco in 1985 as a Marketing Representative covering the state of Florida after three years as a National Account Representative for the Xerox Corporation in Northeast Ohio.  After serving as Division Manager of Wrisco San Francisco, Jim became Division Manager of Wrisco Atlanta from 1991 to 2006.  He relocated to the Corporate Offices in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 2007, after being appointed President.   “It has been a rewarding 35 year career with Wrisco.  I have had the fortunate opportunity to meet, service and build long lasting relationships with countless customers, suppliers and vendors through the years.   As for our employees at Wrisco, I have been blessed to work with and befriend hundreds of fantastic, talented people since 1985”, stated Monastra.   Congratulations Jim!

2020 NATM – See you in Las Vegas This Week

Wrisco will be exhibiting this week at the NATM in booth #1017!  The NATM Convention & Trade Show is the annual trade show for the light- and medium-duty trailer industry. With more than 1,000 trailer manufacturer and supplier attendees per year and growing, this “must attend” event provides education, networking and a trade show for suppliers and trailer manufacturers in the industry. The upcoming convention and trade show will be held in Las Vegas, NV February 11-13, 2020.

Fernando Teutli Joins the Wrisco Chicago Sales Team

Fernando Teutli is the latest addition to the Wrisco Industries family.  “Nando” is from southside Chicago and is the new CSR member at Wrisco Chicago.  He was previously a customer service manager at a bar and restaurant supplier, bringing 20 years of exquisite customer service to the table.   Fernando believes in treating all customer, no matter the size of the account, with respect and kindness. A true believer of the concept of team work, the better a team works as a cohesive unit, the better chance of success for everyone.
Fernando is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do/ Hapkido, a big animal person volunteering at the Animal anti-cruelty society in Chicago.  A big sports person, Nando is the person to get all the juicy news, rumors, and gossips from around the sports world.

44th Annual Wrisco Winternationals This Week!

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series 2020 season gets into gear at East Bay Raceway Park for the 44th Annual Wrisco Industries Winternationals – Presented by Lucas Oil February 2nd-8th.

Teams will make the trek south to Tampa, Florida to East Bay Raceway Park for a thrilling week of racing. The action starts on Sunday with an open practice from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Beginning Monday, February 3 and continuing through Saturday, February 8, the nation’s top dirt late model drivers will battle it out for nearly $200,000 in prize money.

A full program is scheduled for six straight nights, which includes Hot Laps, Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, Berry Barn Strawberry Dash and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Main Event. Each day, the Drivers Meeting will take place at 5:00 pm, followed by Hot Laps at 5:30 pm.

Jersey Boys Sweep 2019 SOY Awards

Congratulations goes out to Wrisco’s 2019 Sales Award Winners – Rick Young (left) New Business Salesperson of the Year and Kevin Zimmerman (right) Sales Person of the Year!   For the second year in a row, the Jersey Team of Zimmerman and Young swept the awards, flip flopping the accolades from the previous year.  Way to go guys, Wrisco is proud of you!
